How does delivery actually work?

Portable structures (up to 14′ wide) are delivered fully assembled on our low-profile Shed Mule trailer — a specialized hydraulic rig that can place your building exactly where you need it without a crane. Modular garages (16′+ wide) ship in 2–3 sections and are assembled on your prepared pad. Either way, our driver calls ahead, scouts the path, and handles the placement. Most deliveries take 30–60 minutes from truck arrival to "you're done."

What if I have a tight driveway, a gate, or a slope?

Mention it on your quote request — we deal with this regularly. The Shed Mule trailer needs roughly 12 feet of clearance width and a relatively firm surface. We can navigate gentle slopes, gravel driveways, and most residential gates. For truly tight spots (narrow alley, steep grade, mature tree canopy), we'll discuss options like an on-site build or a modified approach route. We've never had a delivery we couldn't solve.

Can you remove my old shed when you deliver the new one?

We don't offer teardown/removal as a standard service, but we can often coordinate it. If your old structure is on skids (not a permanent foundation), our driver may be able to pull it aside with the Mule. For teardowns, we recommend scheduling a local junk removal service before delivery day so the pad is clear and ready.

How should I prepare my site before delivery?

You'll need a level, well-drained pad at least 1 foot wider than the structure on each side. Compacted gravel (4–6 inches deep) is the most popular and cost-effective option. Concrete pads and pier-block foundations work too. We send a detailed site-prep checklist with your order, and our delivery driver will confirm the path and placement before unloading.

Every structure starts with 4×4 pressure-treated foundation runners, 2×4 pressure-treated floor joists (12–16" on center), and ¾" smooth sanded plywood flooring — 25% thicker than the ⅝" most competitors use. Walls are framed with 2×4 studs 16" on center. Exterior is LP SmartSide engineered wood siding (or vinyl, your choice), and the roof gets 30-year architectural shingles over SilverTech® radiant barrier sheathing. What is LP SmartSide and why do you use it?

LP SmartSide is an engineered wood siding product — real wood fibers treated with a zinc borate process that resists moisture, decay, fungus, and termites. It looks and paints like natural wood but lasts dramatically longer. LP rates it for 50 years and backs it with a 5/50 year limited warranty. It's the same siding used on residential homes, not the thin OSB panels you see on box-store sheds.

Maintenance is minimal — an occasional wash with mild soap keeps the siding looking new.

Can I get my shed wired for electricity?

We don't pull electrical permits or wire panels — that needs a licensed electrician familiar with your township's code. What we do offer is electrical rough-in: conduit runs, junction boxes, switch and outlet boxes, and a sub-panel cutout in the wall framing. Your electrician walks in, runs the homeruns, and ties in — cuts a full day off the rough-in. Mention electrical on your quote and we'll spec it to your plan.

What is SilverTech® radiant barrier?

SilverTech® is a reflective radiant barrier we apply to the interior sides of exterior wall sheathing and roof sheathing. It's backed by a 20-year limited warranty and we include it standard — most competitors charge extra for it or skip it entirely.

The result is a building that lasts decades, not a few years. Yes, the price is higher, but you're comparing a house to a tent.

What's better — vinyl siding or LP SmartSide (wood)?

Both are excellent — the right choice depends on your priorities. LP SmartSide looks and feels like real wood, takes paint beautifully (any color you want), and is extremely durable (50-year warranty). Vinyl is completely maintenance-free, never needs painting, resists dents, and comes in a good selection of factory colors. LP SmartSide is our more popular choice because of the premium look and unlimited color options, but vinyl wins on zero-maintenance convenience. We build with both — just tell us your preference.

Do you deliver to New Jersey?

Yes — we deliver throughout New Jersey. Most NJ deliveries run $5–$7.50/mi one-way from Parkesburg depending on the structure width. South Jersey (Cherry Hill, Vineland, Cape May area) is 60–90 miles; North Jersey (Bergen, Passaic, Sussex) is 120–150 miles. We quote your exact address up front. NJ sales tax is 6.625%.

Yes — we deliver across Delaware and Maryland regularly. Northern Delaware (Wilmington, Newark) is only about 30 miles from our facility. Maryland destinations like Baltimore, Annapolis, and the Eastern Shore are all within our delivery range. Delaware has 0% sales tax on our structures; Maryland also has 0% sales tax on portable buildings.

Do I need a permit for a shed in PA?

It depends on your township and the structure's size. Most municipalities in Pennsylvania allow accessory structures under 200 sq ft (10×20 or smaller) without a building permit, but zoning rules vary widely by township. Some areas have setback requirements (distance from property lines) regardless of size. We always recommend a quick call to your local zoning office before you order. We're happy to provide spec drawings if your inspector needs them — no charge.
